On her way to a new job in New York city, beautiful, plus-sized Anglo Delaney Moore finds herself stranded in a snowstorm at Christmas time in the small town of Avery, Montana, where she meets the town's sexy, hot-blooded Hispanic sheriff. Since she plans to only stay until the storm clears, she sees no harm in indulging in a little naughty fun. Rick Mateo Cruz grew up on the poor side of the tracks in Chicago, but he’s made a good life as the sheriff of a small town. He loves his culture, his family, and a woman who isn’t afraid to give up control. Rick finds Delaney’s voluptuous figure irresistible, but her whiter-than-white upbringing gives him pause.

Her willingness to submit to his desire for domination brings them closer together emotionally than either could have ever imagined. They’ll have to find that same fiery combination between their cultural differences for Delaney to get a sheriff in her stocking.

Synopsis from Amazon U.K.

I really enjoyed this book, more of a short story but it was a very good storyline which grabbed me from the start. I found the characters very easy to connect with too. The main character Delaney Moore finds herself stranded after an accident in her car in a small town called Avery while en-route to New York where her new career awaits. It is then that she meets the very appealing Rick Cruz as he is the small town sherrif who comes to rescue this damzel in distress. The story then unfolds as they both try to curb their feelings for each other but they each in turn have sexual fantasies about being with each other. When they do finally get together their chemistry is sizzling hot and Rick also gets to play out his submission fantasies. It is then that they both discover that they are soulmates.

Overall I really enjoyed this book. I would have liked it to be a bit longer so that I could have found out how Delaney and Rick's life together unfolds, but apart from this it was a great read.
